Getting to Noord: Ferries and Metro
- Free ferries: the GVB ferries across the IJ are free for pedestrians, cyclists and mopeds, and leave from behind Centraal Station. You rarely wait more than a few minutes on the main route.
- Buiksloterweg (F3): the short crossing to the A'DAM Tower and the EYE runs day and night.
- NDSM (F4): takes about 15 minutes and runs about every 15 minutes during the day. Check late-night times in the GVB app before you rely on it.
- IJplein (F2): a third route, to the east of the A'DAM Tower.
- Metro: the North-South line runs from Noord and Noorderpark under the IJ to Centraal Station, Rokin, De Pijp and Zuid, from about 6 am to 12:30 am.
